YO! this is probably the hippest thing ive been a part of.. hahahaha, danny and his brother offered me to do the flyer thing for this event thing.. it was like a rock and roll summer party thing.. so i racked my brain and tried to break down that idea into coolness and i got this!

yo, my friend teeth's bday passed recently, so for her day of birth we decided to throw her a show, but that failed! but anyways here's the art of that show was supposed to be of that show was....

things that teeth likes! the two most important/cool things about this flyer are the

SATANICAT

and the colors which were cool because they were colors

the food stuff is the good stuff

so.... i was at artists block with this drawing i'm doing.. so i went outside and took a cue from the movie fight club... i closed my eyes and went into my cave and found my power animal (which was a bear) and boom, flyer drawing now, but thats for another post... for right now.... yo, now begins the part where the cool stuff i've been promising finally i get to show it off..

first off, here's a flyer for a show thats tuesday... nu sensae is back in town, with white lung, and milk music.. its danny's b-day show so i know its going to be rager!  here's the version that i did first!

all the individual components of this are awesome, but i didn't like the way that the nude man fit in the background, plus the print shop that danny was gonna print these at probably wouldn't of liked it either, so i did this cleaned up version that i thought looked better...

i liked this version because it was cleaner, not in sense of sexuality but in the sense of graphity dirrty-tude... whatever, nobody curzz... anyway here's the individual layers broken down...

yo, here's a show in las cruces that we played... the flyer is crappy, i know, even gaby said so... but whateverz i'm stressed! all the pretty pictures that gaby and valerie took can be seen here! the crappy photos i took, the rest of awesome ones were the ladies... here's the flyer! it sucks i hate it!

there's a show tomorrow too, here's that flyer.. it also sucks... but not as bad... tiger hatchery had to cancel because of warrant/drug issues.. sux, they seemed fucking awesome! but we got to add resin cum! WHOOP!

rocks in the desert

so Sabertooth Cavity came back to el paso, last week or the week before.. i can't remember... but whatever, they asked me to draw em the flyer WHOOP! so i did... it was supposed to be a "rock the desert" show, so i took that concept to my usual stupid level... what rocks harder than a microscopic look at sand with floating geometric shapes! whoooo! here's the artt!

i'm also gonna design a sticker for em soon, so there's that... more flyers soon too and more stuffs also too soon.... hahahahaha...

Sabertooth cavity and bogus went on a 2nd tour.. and this friday is there big homecoming show... amzi did a flyer for it, but sick/bay requested that we add their name to it... and since i didn't get a chance to make a crab flyer for my series.. i took the oppurtinity (very selfishly) to draw  a crab based flyer....

the idea of the flyer was to have the crab returning from a deep space expedition.... yes, i know... thats very very stupid... but fuck it... here's the final flyer!

i really like the way the triangles have different shades of yellow and change the color of the crab... i might not be a photoshop allstar, but i'm learnings and shit..

amzi asked me to make some b/w copies of the flyer that we could use to promote the show... and i took advantage to remake the flyer in cool halftones... nobody noticed or cared (well maybe teeth) but still... i like art so i thought it'd be a cool concept

i really liked that back layer, but i didn't really fit the piece... im going to save it and use later in some thing where it can be more prominent... if you notice! the split color of pink green is the same from the fun fun fun fest submission... haha... here's the back layer in its natural form..

friday's event!

this friday were doing a benefit show for a local punk house... theyre always quite nice to us and help us out alot, and it seems a fiting time to help them... and luckily one of my favorite artists is going to join in! here comes the gut wagon from austin! this is the the second time i get to draw the gut wagon flyer! and i'm hella proud!!!

i've actually changed it a bunch of times, people were added and added but at this point were pretty set set set SET!!! whoop.. here's the very first version of the flyer the background layer... gutsy and slimey...
