my buddy horse hair said you coudn't really see the words and shitt.. but i disagree... hmm.. here it is without the back math layer....

i really liked that back layer, but i didn't really fit the piece... im going to save it and use later in some thing where it can be more prominent... if you notice! the split color of pink green is the same from the fun fun fun fest submission... haha... here's the back layer in its natural form..

friday's event!

this friday were doing a benefit show for a local punk house... theyre always quite nice to us and help us out alot, and it seems a fiting time to help them... and luckily one of my favorite artists is going to join in! here comes the gut wagon from austin! this is the the second time i get to draw the gut wagon flyer! and i'm hella proud!!!

i've actually changed it a bunch of times, people were added and added but at this point were pretty set set set SET!!! whoop.. here's the very first version of the flyer the background layer... gutsy and slimey...

back last year ham asked me to do a drawing for a zine he was making about god. unfortunately he never got around to making it... which is understandable... im having the same issues! but regardless here is the drawing i plannned on submitting.

i also wrote a little prose on the concept of god and how that has (and will continue to) change over time... here's the drawing as it would of appeared in the zine..

then there's this thing... this is a us postal mail sticker thing and a drawing i did on it... gonna post it somewhere and post the pic... but here ya go...

and lastly here's a mini one page comic i made today.. me and skippellina were bored making jokes about chickens and screaming inside of stores that we needed somewhere to lay our eggs and i came up with this idea... NOW LOOK!!!!! i know i know i know!!!! it wasn't only until it was half finished that i realized i stole it michael deforge... sorry! totally my bad! but still, doesn't mean you can't enjoy it... it just means i'm an asshole and i'm guilty of plagiarism..... whatever here's the comic.... and its been almost an entire year since this began! this adventure began on the 2nd of august 2009. i was eating at village inn at 2 or 3 in the morning, and i wanted to have my art somewhere, where i can talk about it, and be a self absorbed asshole... to be like a fancy ass... hahahahahahaha.... and now, a year later... still nobody knows who i am, my art still sucks ass... and yet still... im a self absorbed asshole of epic proportions... hahahahaha i suck............ whoo, lets go over the introduction before we go out!

lasagna in no way asked me to do this. i have no plan to tell them about this. this is just a fun drawing for my itunes... greg actually did a very good job making the cd case. everyone has seemed to love the way it came out. but it would be too hard to scan into my pc... so i took the artsy fartsy way out. just to let you know... my favorite song off the album .... this was another one of those two layer drawing things... i did it on graph paper for that cool look... i've been listening to alot of reading rainbow and psychic reality lately... hahahah that has nothing to do with nothing....

layer A: which looked somewhat different on paper... the faint pink was bright orange, the light green was more luminous. but the scanner removed some of the ink's capacity... still though...

i think it came out good in the end. simple. fun... not so crappy... it looked cool inverted too, but you couldn't really see lasagna... so nah... if you ever check out my itunes (how can you?) you'll see i have about 3 or 4 albums that i designed myself, because they were blank discs or comps or whatever... i don't like my itunes to have those black music box things... organization foo!

this isn't dead

seriously... i won't let this die.. although, probably i should. for these things are better left in the ground to rot. to let flowers grow in their place anew.

but this art thing isn't dead, not by a long shot. i've just been busy (or better yet, lazy) there's still lots of stuff coming down the hole to be uploaded... like the april 13th flyer and photos (valeries bee-day bash!) which was a shit load of fun! and the may 1st flyer (an experiment in layers), and the may 13th flyer (which might have photos to accompany it aswell) all those things are fun and pretty and cool, but right now i'm trying to focus on my hopelessyness side.

i'm doing a drawing called "complex chest mathematics" about feelings of mistrust and blah blah blah... and now that my car is unbroken i need to get on the ball and start finalizing the sex drawings zine... because it sucks that i'm so pathetic i can't even get it out there!

valleys

the empty gray void. where my best inspiration comes from. the nowhere. the forever stretching onward hopeless.. the lies that lead me there. the feelings of loss and suspicion. the brain is plotting out scenario after scenario of fucked up situations and terrible ideas. and all my third eye does is watch. watch in horror as to whats displayed.... i feel sick. fuck this. fuck this.

kaleidoscope science Pt 1(workforce boredom vol. 15 & 16)

this started off as a simple work drawing. work drawing 15. just thinking about health. random cellular composition art. i actually took anatomy in high school, but found the glass horribly boring... im really interested in the human system, but only under the cocepts of art. defining the organism in the anatomical sense is just not my thing. but if anatomy provided anything, it provided good artisitic ideas...

it was originally b/w, but the pink is just cooler

i layered the drawing in photoshop and set it slightly off balance. i really liked how it came out. i just need to practice alot more with the colors... pink and green are my two favorites, but for this, they just don't balance well... i really do like how the off balanceyness looks

same drawing, but more mathy. i've tried to draw cell stuff in a math sense before, but it never really comes out the way i want it. this is work drawing 16.... by the way...

i think i really like this process, because it takes the focus off the impurities in the work. it makes some of my mistakes less obvious and adds more detail.
