slightly serious

here is the first attempt for a flyer for neon navajo. i wanted to put something really serious on the paper. something with alot of lines and detail. unfortunately that doesn't really work when people want you to draw what yr known for. regardless, my sister kept the final piece. so it all works out.

here is the very first sketch. i scrapped it because i felt i wouldn't have enough room for words.

the second attempt was much better. shadows, contrast, i really like how all the details came out. but still, it felt too simple to be a flyer. i feel like when i draw a flyer it needs alot of color and randomness to get noticed. like simplicity would be a waste.

so i dripped paint all over the page. splattered it really. and pulled a ruler over it. so it would have this washed out look.

i have to say i'm really falling in love with tiquet. its my new favorite font. everytime i see it written out, it always reminds me of here comes the gut wagon... i thought i would make this flyer flash colors, like my others one did... HERE

unfortunately neon navajo wasn't feeling this. so we decided on something else. the new flyer features worms. i'm really feeling worms right now. so expect alot of things to have really strong wormy overtones.
